I have the pleasure of being friends with the owner and can tell you she has worked her butt off making sure everything is perfect for the launch. Rockeresque is a 100% vegan/cruelty free company that will offer products that will work for just about any look you want to create. Yes what you are seeing here are the company name, product name, weight, AND the ingredients listed all on the bottom of the jar. Which btw came to me sealed with a heat shrink wrap and a sifter seal!!! Now this is how a product should be labeled. Very professional and FDA compliant which is very important and every MMU(mineral makeup) company by law should be doing this.You as a buyer should know what is going on your face and be able to feel confident in knowing that you can just pick up your jar at any time and be able to see the ingredients, not have to stop and get online to try to find the ingredients.

These shadows are very highly pigmented and last a loooong time. Those swatches on my hand are on bare skin and lasted for several hours through me cleaning, playing with babies and only came off after washing my hands after diaper duty. This pink also made a gorgeous lip color that I proudly sported around the house feeling like I was Miss America. I just put on a little lip balm and rubbed the color over it with my finger.

Would I recommend this company to people you better believe I do. Why? Yes I know the owner and think she is an amazing person but there is more than meets the eye here. Let me fill you in on a little background info.While formulating the line the owner had a few setbacks. She handled herself beautifully and in a very professional manner, which sadly I have seen other companies not do. Her supplier failed to label ingredients properly and through her dedication to be 100% vegan made the discovery. She immediately stopped production emailed the supplier and pulled all the products that were affected out of the line. To some this may not be a big deal but when you have worked so hard and poured your heart and soul into your work it is everything. She took a deep breath, dusted herself off and went back to work to recreate those products using vegan ingredients. Now I am not vegan but because of her dedication, hard work, and professionalism she has earned my utmost respect. Keep your eyes on this company, I see great things for their future!!!

I have decided this week my inner child is gonna shine. I love Easter for a lot of reasons although I am only going to touch on my love of candy doesn't mean it is the only reason. So this week I bring to you...

Easter Candy Unwrapped.

Anyone who knows me knows that I love my candy and all the fun things you can do with it. So let me share some of the fun things I have found involving candy.

First Peeps:

Peeps are my first love of Easter candy. I love them fresh but even more so if they are stale. I even have my own technique of getting them stale fast lol. Here are a few pics of cute things made with Peeps.

Second: Cadbury Creme Eggs

These creme eggs are so addictive. I try every year to stock up on them but somehow always end up eating them as fast as I buy them. So sad they are only in the stores once a year. Let me show you some fun things you can do with these bad boys.

Third: Kinder Eggs

Now these are a new find for me, I had never heard of them until a few friends started talking about them and I knew I had to find them. Did I find them you ask? Why yes I did and oh my goodness are they good and fun too!!! Kinder also carries bars with different fillings the white milky center is to die for. Anyway these candy eggs come with a surprise in the middle, let me just show you.

This is the coveted Kinder bar I so desperately need in my every day life. lol

Now while I found these little eggs fairly easily at an international food store close to me they will not be available all the time. I even kind of begged the manager to keep them around since I know of a particular friend I could use these as a bribery tool with.

 Ok ok I know not a lot of people like these but this has always been one of my favorites of Easter time. As kids and even still when anyone had black jelly beans in their baskets they were given to me. With my birthday so close to Easter I have always been given a bag of just black jelly beans. Sadly this year no one could find them so I have pouted all season. I know there are companies that make them but I'm talking about the cheapo bags you know the ones for like 50 cents lol.

My lips are SINFUL

Introducing:

Sinful Scents

On March 16th Sinful Scents drew my name as a winner for their facebook page reaching 300 fans. My prize was I could pick any one thing from their Etsy store. This was a hard decision for me since they carry 3 of my addictions, lip balm (they are lip candy for Sinful Scents), wax tarts, and lotions. I finally decided on lip candy and chose the Pineapple Tangerine flavor. The owner Lindsay told me I could pick another flavor since she had a special going in her shop at the time for buy one get one free on lip candy, I chose Monkey Farts flavor. I received my package on March 31st which I don't think was bad time at all. Normal price for a single Lip candy is $3.50 there is also a Sampler Trio includes: 1 Monkey Farts Lip Candy,1 Pineapple Tangerine Lip Candy, 1 Crazy for Bananas Lip Candy for $10.50.

I was so excited to get to the lip candies that I didn't even think to take pics of anything lol. All I could think is wooohooo new lippies and I ripped into the packaging. I can tell you it was packaged nicely and both lip candies arrived in perfect condition. They were both sealed with those awesome shrink wrappers and labeled with the company logo, product name, weight, AND ingredients along with their Etsy shop website.

Now to the flavors....my favorite of the 2 Pineapple Tangerine. This one smells and tastes like those orange chewable baby aspirins. You know the kind the school nurse use to give us when we were sick back in the day. If your around my age (36) you know exactly what I am referring to. For a minute I was 6 years old again finding something wrong so I could con my school nurse Mrs. Niewald into giving me one of those yummy chewables. Monkey farts don't let the name scare you away it is a nice combo of banana, grapefruit, kiwi, bubble gum, strawberries and vanilla. As complicated as it sounds it really isn't, it reminds me of a tropical drink.

How do I like them? They are a nice consistency not too soft not too hard. They go on super smooth and last for quite a while. I will definitely be buying more flavors in the future!!! I will make another post once I place an order to give you the scoop on some of their other products.

Meet the newest family member....
Patch Adams Buckley Brooks

Patch is a feisty little guy who was born on 3/11/11. Both his parents are around 5 pounds so he should stay a small guy. He is a mix of Pug, Shitzu, and Chihuahua, so he should stay pretty small.
I thought a lot about all the responsibilities that comes along with having a puppy. Not to mention the fact I am just not a dog person. I love them as long as they belong to someone else. Something about this little guy had me at hello. I fell in love at the first glance of his pic I saw on my sisters face book page. I know this is going to be a very eventful journey for all of us including our cats who BTW are not pleased right now. We have learned very quickly that Mr. Patch likes socks and has no preference in clean or dirty yet lol. I am going to have to find some teeny tiny chew toys so that none of us lose a toe from him chewing on them, also some tiny sweaters because he gets cold really easy. If anyone has any suggestions on places to find some stuff for my mini man please feel free to let me know. 
I guess my final words of wisdom for new puppy owners...turn on the lights when you get up at night so you don't have a squishy treat between your toes. LOL

Sunday Sprinkles

Sunday Sprinkles is going to be a weekly blog post for me from now on. This is where you will find a weekly dose of what is in my mind and how my mind works. Don't be afraid lol I promise it won't be too bad.

I'm sure from the saying above you may know where I am headed with this Sunday Sprinkles post, FRIENDS. For me friends are one of the most important set of people you can have in your life. My close friends take a seat right next to my family because they are my chosen family. For me being a single work from home mom it just so happens that my friends are mainly from meeting them online. I know a lot of people may laugh at that statement because "how can you really know someone online?" or "people play a role when they're hiding behind a computer screen.". In a lot of cases this may be true. I have found some who have played the fake role very well but, I have also found some the most honest amazing friends.

 Recently I had the experience of thinking some people were friends and losing some from lies and rumors spread by someone I had thought I could trust. Instead of people asking me for themselves they bought into what was being said. To that I say oh well your loss. I refuse to let that bring me down though. There are so many good, honest, kind hearted people out there for me to lose faith in people in general. Life is about taking chances. We may not always have the results we wanted, we may get let down or hurt a time or two, get back up, dust yourself off and try again. I am a firm believer in everything happens for a reason, usually there is a life's lesson to be learned or to be reminded of one. Take the time to sit back through all the emotions and see what it is that you could learn it could just make you a better person in the end.

Right now I have to give some props to some of my besties without you all my life would not be the same. 

Judy Patooty you are my rock!!! We have shared so much together and I am forever grateful for you. I know for a fact that you have pulled me from the edge a few times. You don't realize how much I admire your strength and courage. Only you can make me laugh at my stupid mistakes while I am making them and laugh with me not at me haha. I love you more than you will ever know.

Candygirl you amaze me with your kindness every single day. You have a light around you that I can only dream of having. You have a huge heart and a love for life. Stay safe and never let your light stop shining!!!!

Dezziebear you have no idea how amazing you are. You don't realize how much your words make me think about things in my own life and that is a good thing. You have a spark in you but you are also one of the most humble people I know. You make me smile when that is the last thing I want to do.

Frances you gave me a voice before you ever even knew me. You have taught me that standing up and speaking up for myself is not a bad thing. You take the weight of the world on your shoulders and try to help anyone you encounter. You have an inner strength that can move mountains. Your the wind beneath my wings.

Becca you my friend make me want to be a people person lol. You have a wisdom that people with doctrines don't have. I think of you as an old soul who has many things inside that so many people could learn from. Your witty ways of saying things make me laugh so hard my ribs hurt. Please don't ever change who you are!

Ang you are the epitome of what an educated strong ass woman should strive to be. You are teaching me that my strengths as a woman are ALWAYS a good thing. Your love of all things geeky make me want to learn more. You never make me feel stupid when I have no idea what you are talking about haha. 

Amandy you have to be one of the sweetest most soft spoken women I know.There are not a whole lot of people who can put someone in their place and say it so kindly. You are a peace keeper without losing sight of what is right. You bring a sense of peace and happiness in everything you write. 

Pam we have gotten so close and even though you are technically family you are one of my closest friends. I have told you things that I probably have only told one other person. There is such a comforting feeling being around you that I can't explain. You don't judge me for my mistakes you make me feel like you love me more because of them. You are an amazing, strong, all around good person don't ever let someone tell you different.  

You all bring so much to my life in so many different ways. Thank you for always being there, for accepting me no matter what, and making me a better person. I love you all so much!!!
