Hello everyone who is still out there possibly reading. If you are a huge THANK YOU to you for holding out hope for me. Where the heck have I been? What the heck have I been doing? Let me start from the beginning......
Back in April I had my annual apartment inspection, much to my surprise it failed. When the inspector showed me why I was not only grossed out but concerned for mine and the kids health, which I had good reason to be. They found massive amounts of mold in the girls closet. I had no idea because that is where I stored all of our plastic totes and never got in there.
If you look at the "clean" wall you can tell that it has been repaired. They had done that about a year and a half prior when I noticed water leaking out in the kids room. The problem wasn't fixed they just replaced the drywall and put stuff back in the closet apparently. They bad wall doesn't look so bad until you touch the wall and layers peel off revealing the massive amounts of mold behind it. Not to mention the floor is rotted out and full of mold as well.
Long story short they were given 45 days to fix it, the landlords wouldn't even respond to the letters or calls, so the kids and I were forced to find a new place and move by June 1st. With lots of prayers and amazing help we did it by the skin of our teeth. Our new place is smaller, but we have a washer and dryer now (YAY!), we have a yard that we can enjoy, our landlord is amazing, the girls have lots of friends to hang out with. Downside...the neighborhood is HORRIBLE! I hate it, hate it, hate it. I have my cupcake kitchen though, and so I just pretend that the world out there doesn't exist as much as I can, and I live in my magical world of cupcakes, rainbows and unicorns inside these walls LOL.

Two weeks after moving in here mom had to have total knee replacement surgery on one of her knees done. The girls and I packed up and stayed with her for 2 months to take care of her and Lisa while she recovered from that. My poor momma was in some horrible pain, thank goodness that for a little while she had home physical therapy. She went through it like a trooper, though we did cheat on her homework exercises sometimes she is doing great with her new knee now. Of course there are some things she still needs help with, but that is to be expected. They have also found that she has something wrong with her hip and have talked about surgery on it as well. Mom says no, I say yes. I told her she can't let it go and then start dragging her leg behind her, people will think she's a zombie and shoot her in the damn head. Anywho here are a few mom leg adventure pics for ya.

Sooooo, now I am back at my place, the kids are back in school and things seem to be getting back to as normal as normal is for us. There are still a few things left to work out and get straightened out, but I am trying to believe that the higher powers that be will help me figure all of that out. I figure as long as we have a home without mold and a cupcake kitchen we are blessed.
Peace, Love and Cupcakes
