Bring out your inner rock star!!!

Coming Soon:

May 2011
I have been on pins and needles waiting for the grand opening of this company!!! I have the pleasure of being friends with the owner and can tell you she has worked her butt off making sure everything is perfect for the launch. Rockeresque is a 100% vegan/cruelty free company that will offer products that will work for just about any look you want to create. You will be able to find shades ranging from gorgeous primary colors to rich darker shades.

Want a sneak peek of a few colors?
Yeah I thought so, here are swatches of 2 colors I have received so far.
The pink is called XOXO and the green is called Wicked Witch.
Wanna see how cute these jars are? Of course you do.

Ready for the cherry on top?
(I know bad pic sorry)
Yes what you are seeing here are the company name, product name, weight, AND the ingredients listed all on the bottom of the jar. Which btw came to me sealed with a heat shrink wrap and a sifter seal!!! Now this is how a product should be labeled. Very professional and FDA compliant which is very important and every MMU(mineral makeup) company by law should be doing this. You as a buyer should know what is going on your face and be able to feel confident in knowing that you can just pick up your jar at any time and be able to see the ingredients, not have to stop and get online to try to find the ingredients.

These shadows are very highly pigmented and last a loooong time. Those swatches on my hand are on bare skin and lasted for several hours through me cleaning, playing with babies and only came off after washing my hands after diaper duty. This pink also made a gorgeous lip color that I proudly sported around the house feeling like I was Miss America. I just put on a little lip balm and rubbed the color over it with my finger.

Would I recommend this company to people you better believe I do. Why? Yes I know the owner and think she is an amazing person but there is more than meets the eye here. Let me fill you in on a little background info. While formulating the line the owner had a few setbacks. She handled herself beautifully and in a very professional manner, which sadly I have seen other companies not do. Her supplier failed to label ingredients properly and through her dedication to be 100% vegan made the discovery. She immediately stopped production emailed the supplier and pulled all the products that were affected out of the line. To some this may not be a big deal but when you have worked so hard and poured your heart and soul into your work it is everything. She took a deep breath, dusted herself off and went back to work to recreate those products using vegan ingredients. Now I am not vegan but because of her dedication, hard work, and professionalism she has earned my utmost respect. Keep your eyes on this company, I see great things for their future!!!

  4. Wait a second.... I've seen these EXACT same colors before. These are probably just taken from a company that sells these colors and they just put them in their own jars to re-sell them at ridiculous prices... I'm so tired of seeing companies like this.

It's such a shame! I know of some really good vegan eyeshadow companies that blend their own colors.

  5. I don't think these are repackages at all, they have more depth than straight repacks.
True, they are popular colors for most indie MMU companies to offer, but that's OK. Almost every company makes a lime/bright green and a bright pink color-people almost expect them from pigment companies.

  6. Anonymous with so many indie companies out there I'm sure you are going to find many colors that appear to be duplicated by another company. You will find that also the case in comparing companies like Mac, Covergirl, Wet N Wild, Loreal to name a few. While you stand in that makeup aisle you will see the same shades over and over again. There are only so many colors that can be made. It is not only about color though it is about the base used, texture, lasting power, blendability among other reasons a person would pick one company over another.
I also want to thank you for your comment you have inspired me for a post I hope to make in the very near future. I am sorry that you have counted this company out before they have even launched and were able to see their entire line. Fortunately I am going to keep an open mind as I do with any other company.

  8. I know of some companies who did repackage when they first started out just to get noticed before putting their whole life's savings into something that wont get off the ground. They now sell their own custom blends and are doing really great!

Now I know this company has some really great custom colors, I'm really digging ruby doo.

I hope to see their company thrive.
